Ships That Never Sailed
06 Dec 2014 Service – John Avanzini
Ships of Tarshish were the hardest things to break in those days. They were going to Ophir, but never set sail..
“Jehoshaphat ordered ships of Tarshish to go to Ophir for gold, but they did not, for the ships were wrecked at Ezion-geber” 1 Kings 22:48 AMP
Because he was allied to a wicked King called Ahaziah.
“After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly. He joined him in building ships to go to Tarshish, building them in Ezion-geber. Then Eliezer . . . prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because you have joined Ahaziah, the Lord will destroy your works. So the ships were wrecked and unable to go to Tarshish” 2 Chron 20:35-37 AMP

The opportunities that God gives us for greatness, but we let the tide deter us and our ships never sail. We got to have backbone!
Joseph… As a young man he has dreams and he tells his brothers.
Success will bring adversaries! His brothers rose against him. Not enemies or strangers, but his very own brothers! But we all know that in the end, Joseph’s ship sailed.
Women with the issue of blood:
Everyone detested her cos she was unclean but not to Jesus
“If I just touch it.. I’ll be well. If I just get a relationship with Jesus…”
Sometimes it’s uncomfortable to get into God’s best.
Simon Peter (Lk5)
Sometimes in life, we toil all night and the devil comes pull it off. But Jesus told him to let his nets into the deep. And his nets were breaking !
Your seeds may seem useless now, but it takes time. In time to come they will reap fruits until your nets are breaking. Launch into the deep today!
4 He who observes the wind will not sow,
And he who regards the clouds will not reap. Eccl 11:4
Do it today. Don’t say tomorrow. Your ship might not sail. Pharaoh said tomorrow.
