1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Gen 1:1-2 ..The spirit of God was hovering..
The Greek word meant birthing, incubating. The Holy Spirit wanted to birth light in the midst of darkness.
Holy spirit is in the 4th Dimension.
2 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. Acts 2:1-3
Where was the HS hovering? On the heads of the believers, on the realm of our thinking.
1. Welcome the Holy Spirit into our THOUGHTS
Before the HS can do anything, we need to change our thinking.
When there is no light there is no vision. When there is no vision there is no future. Without hope there is no more energy and strength to live on.
Rats hope experiment:
Scientists discovered that rats swim for a shorter period of time and gave up swimming in a totally dark environment, compared to an environment where it was dark but there was a beam of light shining from the top. Conclusion was light gives some form of hope.
27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Col 1:27
7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
“Eat and drink!” he says to you,
But his heart is not with you.
Elephants belonging to circuses are chained to a stick when young to train their mindset that they cannot escape. When they are older and very much stronger, they still resign to the mindset that they cannot escape from the chains, when they are actually strong enough to break it.
In the 3rd dimension, your breathing keeps you alive. In the 4th dimension, your thinking keeps you alive, whether you know it or not. You are always thinking all the time.
The 8 things about thoughts you should think of:
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philp 4:8
2. Welcome the Holy Spirit into your VISIONS & DREAMS
17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
Dr Deidre Barrett wrote a book on the Committee of Sleep… About problem solving in dreams.
18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint;
But happy is he who keeps the law. Prov 29:18
With vision comes tremendous hardship and tribulations.
3. Welcome the Holy Spirit into our BELIEVING
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mk 9:23
4. Welcome the Holy Spirit into our SPEAKING
Invite him into your words
22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mk 11:22-23
