Lift Up Your Eyes

Lift Up Your Eyes

07 Jun 2014 Service – Phil Pringle

The thing that makes us perish is when we lose vision. All of us are born blind. Not physically. Until you are born again you can’t see God. Jesus is the eye opener. Then you see the blueprint for your life and future.

Now that your eyes are open, where you look at is very important. There will be things that distract you. Your eyes are a gateway to your soul.

Vision pierces into the natural world with a supernatural answer. Vision doesn’t have to be like seeing God or angels or something dramatic. It can just be an Imagination in your mind that brings hope into your heart. The devil will show you imaginations that brings fear.

Vision becomes a very important part on how you are going to direct your path and live.

35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! Jn 4:35

The Samaritan woman had known many men, and was “unclean”. She had to draw water from the well outside the city. It started with Jesus crossing over boundaries, and with the help of holy spirit, and talked to the woman at the well and started a revival and changed that whole town.

I am on a pathway that God is taking me along, he is with me, that’s the assurance!

As long as the church walks around with prejudice and judgment, then no one is going to get saved. Ppl everywhere are ready to be saved! Lift up your eyes above your prejudice, view others from a different perspective!

24 Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being. 1 Cor 10:24
#1 See Others
When we speak to others, gauge the impact. Are we edifying them? Are we helping them?

#2 See Positive

29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. Matt 14:29

Why did you doubt?
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb 12:1-2… Because he stopped looking at Jesus Christ. And looked at the storm

You and I will always be having storms. What will you look at? The storm or Jesus? As soon as you look at the fierceness of the wind and seas your heart will get melted and fearful.

Look at Christ, he is seated above all principalities and powers! Stop looking at the problems that discourage you.

My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.
Psa 5:3 …I will look up..

#3 See New Perspective

9 For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.1 Cor 16:9

Two shoe salesmen were sent to Africa to see if there was a market for their product.
The first salesman reported back, “This is a terrible business opportunity, no-one wears shoes.”
The second salesman reported back, “This is a fantastic business opportunity, no-one wears shoes.”

Sometimes you will be dropped into a hole, and dirt dropped over you, and you are in a dark place. But from there a shoot will break through into the sunlight, and a tree will grow forth and many fruits will come out of you!

Inside a seed is a tree, just waiting to grow.
Inside every one of us is a life vastly larger than the one we’re living!

#4 See God Your Source

19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19

Feeding the 5,000 … Mk 6:35-44

You can’t help others if you’re poor! You cannot be a blessing in this world. It’s a holy calling, to be blessed so that we can be a blessing to others!

#5 See Bigger
14 And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; 15 for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. 16 And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. Gen 13:14-16

Look at a higher level. Whatever your eyes fall on, that’s what i have given you.

What you can see and imagine is a creating force!

#6 See Abundance

5 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” Gen 15:5

Get out of your world into God’s world. God has no limits, the only limit is where you’re putting yr eyes and seeing!

#7 See Transformation

12 And He said, ‘Lift your eyes now and see, all the rams which leap on the flocks are streaked, speckled, and gray-spotted; for I have seen all that Laban is doing to you. Gen 31:12

The sheep reproduced speckled sheep, just by looking at the vision of speckled rod!

#8 See Unashamed
Lord, how they have increased who trouble me!
Many are they who rise up against me.
2 Many are they who say of me,
“There is no help for him in God.” Selah
3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head. Psa 3:1-3

30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Rom 8:30-34

Jesus is on your side, if God is for you who can be against you? He will justify you!

Lift up your eyes and glorify God, for He is the one who gives the justification!
