RE:Vival Through You: The 7 Mountains & Joseph

26 Oct 2013 Service – Kong Hee

The anointing of God is not for your own private enjoyment, but it is to make you a leader for the Lord, to solve problems and deal with the darkness out there in the world.

16 “Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him commander over My people Israel, that he may save My people from the hand of the Philistines; for I have looked upon My people, because their cry has come to Me.” 1 Sam 9:16

To make you a leader for God! Revival through You!
5 After that you shall come to the hill of God where the Philistine garrison is. And it will happen, when you have come there to the city, that you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with a stringed instrument, a tambourine, a flute, and a harp before them; and they will be prophesying. 10:5

The Philistines have built strongholds around the mountain of God, stopping people from going up.

Mountains and Hills speak to us as high places of authority and influence.

They are the 7 Pillars or Mountains of Influence.

Everything on earth belongs to us. But!
Satan has built strongholds around mountains of influence in society to prevent people from going up.

7 “When the Lord your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you, Deut 7:1
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Mtt 24:14 – Preach the gospel of the Kingdom. We don’t just preach about salvation, but the gospel of the Kindgom! The Kingdom of God is God’s way of living, God’s values in life.

God’s commission is not just to win souls, but share his values with the world!

Nation means country and its culture.
Dr. Lance Wallnau says that there are only 4 ways we can do missions:
Church + Gospel = Fundamentalism (withdrawal)
Church + Culture = Liberalism (social causes) – Activist, help the poor. Social change etc. But nothing is permanent without God.
Gospel + Church = Parachurch
Church + Gospel + Culture = Kingdom of God!

That’s exactly what the cultural mandate is all about.

Let’s aim to be a strong church, to be full of the gospel, and fully engage the culture.
Doing missions is not just going to different countries and spreading the word of God. We also need to engage the culture of the society

15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. Acts 9:15

Paul was also told to witness to kings. In modern day, they are those at the top of the 7 mountains. They are in the realm of influence, they are the Kings.

5 After that you shall come to the hill of God where the Philistine garrison is. And it will happen, when you have come there to the city, that you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with a stringed instrument, a tambourine, a flute, and a harp before them; and they will be prophesying. 6 Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. 1 Sam 10:5-6
The modern day prophets are the pastors and leaders of the church.

Why did David love the House of God so much? Because he understood the 3 roles of Kings, Prophet and Priests (just like Jesus Christ).

It is in your nature to take territories . That’s what kings do. Kings got to take territories for Jesus Christ!

“A marketplace believer is someone who gets an anointed strategy, sets himself apart for the Lord, get as high asa he can in the industry, blocks the purpose of Satan, and manifest the kingdom of God.”-Lance Wallnau

Jacob was deceived into marrying Leah, but he was smitten by Rachel.
17 Leah’s eyes were delicate, but Rachel was beautiful of form and appearance. Gen 29:17
In the bible, Females are representative of churches.
Rachel speaks of a church which has captured the heart of God.
Leah speaks of a church with no vision.

Johnny Enlow’s prophetic insight of the life of Joseph.

3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors. Gen 37:3
Tunic of 7 colours. An anointing to take on the 7 mountains.

Long before it came to past, he was already dreaming of ruling.
5 Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more. 6 So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: 7 There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.” V5-7
What he didn’t know was that God wanted him to rule in the house of pharaoh, not the house of Jacob.

God has something bigger for you!

4 things that happened in Potiphar’s house
Gen 39
#1. The Lord was with Joseph.

#2. He was a successful man.

#3. Potiphar saw that the Lord was with him.
But he was not a Christian so how did he know this? He knew this from the fact that there was no problem that Joseph couldn’t solve.
V3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.

#4. Joseph found favour in his sight.
V4 So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.
Potiphar put everything under Joseph’s control , that is what favour is.
V5 So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field.
God wants to use you to be a blessing to your company. To your class, your campus, wherever you are planted in.

BUT!! Every mountain has a Potiphar’s wife. Eg lust, Greed,
V7 And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.”

He refused, and then was falsely charged and went to jail.

V20 Then Joseph’s master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison.
Outwardly it looked like he was going down. But in God’s eyes, he was going up!He was in the divine plan of God. It was the kings prison. Step by step, closer to pharaoh.

V21 But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
V23 The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.

Favor…  Under Joseph’s authority.
How did the prison warden know? Whatever Joseph did, he prospered.
38 And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” Gen 41:38

God waited 14 yrs for Joseph to get into his divine plan. Just like how Jacob waited 14 yrs for Rachel.

41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”
42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand; and he clothed him in garments of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. 43 And he had him ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried out before him, “Bow the knee!” So he set him over all the land of Egypt.

When you have favour, everything is under your control.
V45 And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-Paaneah – Zaphnath-Paaneah means God speaks and loves, saviour of the world.

Get appointed and anointed, keep climbing up the mountain.
Leadership is really about influence, and you gain influence by success!

#1 Joseph had success in Potiphar’s house (Gen 39:2)
#2 Joseph was prosperous in the prison (Gen 39:8)
#3 Joseph was wealthy in Pharaoh’s Palace (Gen 41:42)
No matter where you are, God can make you prosper!

18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Deut 8:18
What God is saying is:
I am anointing you, assigning you the responsibility to be wealthy and successful and prosperous so that you can fund my Kingdom, so that you can do the work of God .

“Earn all you can,
Save all you can,
Give all you can.” John Wesley
