Your Presence Is Heaven To Me

27 Apr 2013 Service – Kong Hee

3 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Col 3:1-2

16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. Heb 11:16

God has already designed and prepared heaven for us!! – 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Gen 1:1

In heaven, there is no sickness, pain, suffering etc
4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Rev 21:4

But where is heaven?
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Jn 14:3

It is where His presence is!

You can even have heaven in hell (trials or suffering), as long as His presence is there.

19 My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you, Gal 4:19 – God is our divine sculptor; He is building His masterpiece – You. He chips and cuts away at you, little by little, this is what sanctification and consecration is all about.

The Story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. Dan 3:16-17

18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

It doesn’t matter if God delivers them or not. Because having Him is more important than having His deliverance!

Right in their hell, Jesus’s presence was with them!

Is Jesus more important to you? Than all His blessings, healing, deliverance etc.
The Story of the Ten Lepers
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. 17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” Lk17:15-18

Only ONE came back – he didn’t just want Jesus to be his saviour and healer, but Jesus Christ his Lord!
You will never discover your destiny until you cross the line from ‘Jesus my Saviour’ to ‘Jesus my Lord’.
