Ruling Together With Jesus
22 Jan 2013 Leader’s Meeting – Kong Hee
We have the same standing as Jesus has.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Eph 2:4-6
Jesus is Prophet, Priest and King.
He is ruling and reigning, and also interceding and praying for us. Because we sit on the same throne, we rule and reign with Christ through righteousness. We intercede and pray, and share his prayer ministry. We rule together with him through prayer.
Prayer has a partner — Fasting! It intensifies prayer!
Fasting is an expression of self-humbling!
We are not fighting against flesh and blood, but Satan and his demons.
11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. 2 Cor 2:11
Satan is the tempter, deceiver and accuser. He is known as the “accuser of our brethren”.
10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. Rev 12:10
But fear not, the truth will always surface!
Just do two things:
1) Look to Jesus, He is your source.
2) Stand on the truth, God will always back up the truth.
In 2013, we need to:
1) Abide in Christ
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. Jn 15:5,7
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Eph 6:10
When we are born again, our new birth is the launching power to get us into the realm of God, but we got to get into the right orbit (by changing our mindsets, our attitudes, our beliefs, by praying and fasting). Only then will we start receiving and transmitting the power and authority and power of God.
2) Be Fervent In Prayer
-Prayer brings Presence
Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to Him.
-Prayer brings Power
16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5:16 [AMP]
23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. Jn 16:23-24
“It seems God is limited by our prayer life – that He can do nothing for humanity unless someone asks Him.” -John Wesley
-Prayer creates Unity
18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. Mt 18:18-19
24 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them, Acts 4:24
5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. Acts 12:5
You will know a person’s heart through praying with him/her.
“Prayer produces Intimacy” -Dr Ed Cole
-Prayer brings Courage
30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:30-31
-Prayer brings Wisdom
28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. 31 Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears. Acts 20:28-31
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints Eph 6:18
23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mk 11:23
12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. Dan 10:12
Angels come when we speak!
Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. Psa 103:20
20 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed. Acts 19:20
Start speaking the word!
3) Maintain the unity
13 Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. 1 Cor 16:13
12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; Rom12:12
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Tim 6:12
